This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is between the User of the translation services developed by LexDash (“User”), and LexDash Technologies LLP (“LexDash” or “Us”). This Privacy Policy is in consonance with the provisions under the Section 5(1) of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”); Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (“SPDI Rules”); and Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011. The Privacy Policy shall form part and parcel of the Standard Terms and Conditions (link). 1. INFORMATION COLLECTED: a. To deliver cutting edge fool proof secured translation services, it is imperative for LexDash to collect certain information / document including but not limited to: i. User-identification data: While creating an account, LexDash collects information necessary for account management, including Username, email address. ii. Data for processing: LexDash may collect information / document / handwritten notes / images the User provides, such as text, documents, while availing the services. iii. Log information: LexDash collects data on how the User interacts with the Platform, such as the pages User visit, User IP address, browser type and access time. Masked session recordings may be used to identify bugs and improve user experience. b. The personal information of the User is collected solely for the purposes of identification and communication. c. The information / document / handwritten notes / images are collected from the User exclusively for providing translation services. d. The log information enables LexDash to effectively monitor glitches in the product and take effective measures to enhance the user experience. e. LexDash does not use the data / handwritten notes / images inputted by the User for any commercial purpose. 2. DATA SHARING a. LexDash does not share, sell or disclose any information collected from the User, except under legal obligations. b. Furthermore, in cases of requisite data sharing with trusted partners or service providers, LexDash diligently upholds stringent confidentiality and data protection standards, thereby ensuring the utmost security and privacy of User data. c. It is imperative to emphasize that User data is only shared with their express and informed consent. 3. DATA STORAGE AND LOCATION: a. LexDash enters into agreements with multiple third party vendors in order to provide best quality user experience. At present, LexDash hosts its server in Singapore, with all user data and uploaded content stored in India. b. The product developed by LexDash operates with the utmost commitment to privacy and data security. c. All data processed by the Platform is stored exclusively within the Google Cloud Platform and MongoDB Atlas, with particular emphasis on the provisions outlined in the Privacy Commitment and is specifically housed within the Indian Data Center. d. For the purposes of AI translation, LexDash at present is utilizing the services of Google Cloud Platform. The data collected from the User for AI translation is solely for the purposes of processing the data and converting / translating the same to another recognized language. e. For the purposes of translation by a certified translator, LexDash has engaged with Arnav Translations. The data collected from the server of LexDash by the aforesaid translator will be accessed through a secure portal provided by LexDash. As part of best security practices, LexDash has entered into a Non- Disclosure Agreement with the aforesaid certified translator to protect the interests of the User. f. The Privacy Commitment entered by LexDash with third party vendors highlight security and control for customer data in the cloud, aligning with the belief in customer data control and privacy. It pledges not to access data without permission, use customer data for training the models without consent and work with data in a privacy-conscious manner. The commitment aims to build trust, transparency and compliance, enabling Users to leverage AI/ML confidently while meeting privacy and data protection requirements. No data is stored outside the territorial boundaries of India. 4. DATA DELETION a. The User / profile(s) are vested with the prerogative to exercise control over the document / handwritten notes / images (“data”) uploaded by them and also the translations undertaken through the product developed by LexDash. b. The User / profile(s) retain the authority to delete the aforesaid data from LexDash servers at their sole discretion. c. In compliance of the industry best security standards, LexDash does not retain any data once the same is deleted by the User / profile(s). Consequently, on deletion, the User cannot retrieve / restore the data deleted by the User. 5. USER RIGHTS: a. In compliance of the laws applicable in India, the User holds certain data rights, including access, correction, updating, or deletion of personal information, as well as the right to nominate a representative in case of incapacity or demise. b. For the aforesaid purpose, the User can directly send a formal email / notice to the (Email ID or Phone No). c. The translators and AI systems work to ensure accurate translations while maintaining the confidentiality of User content. 6. CONSENT MANAGER a. In accordance with Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, LexDash hereby nominates a Consent Manager namely Kandavel Arul (kandavel@lexdash.app), responsible for facilitating the User in providing, managing, reviewing, and withdrawing consent via a transparent and complaint platform. b. The Consent Manager offers accessible grievance redressal mechanisms for the User, adhering to statutory timelines. 8. THIRD PARTY VENDORS: LexDash engages multiple third party vendors for providing accessibility of the server, AI translation, human intervened translation and storage of the documents. In case of any grievances, LexDash shall be the primary point of contact. LexDash will undertake all possible measures to coordinate with the concerned department / third party vendor to get the grievance resolved. 9. TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES: LexDash employs cookies, unique identifiers, web beacons and similar tracking technologies to improve service delivery and analyze performance. By using the Services, the User consents to the utilization of these tracking technologies for these purposes. Masked session recordings may also be used to identify bugs and improve user experience. 10. CONFIDENTIALITY: LexDash and the User agree that they will keep terms and conditions of this Agreement and all information provided by LexDash or the User to the other regarding its business and operations confidential. All confidential information provided by the User shall be used by LexDash / third party vendors solely for the purpose of rendering or obtaining services pursuant to this Agreement and, except as may be required in carrying out this Agreement, shall not be disclosed to any other party without the prior consent of such party. 11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY LexDash may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the effective date will be updated accordingly. 12.
